A ‘super-sized LED’ display was installed last year at the Etihad Stadium whose pitchside media space is now the most valuable in the Premier League.

Manchester City Football Club has renewal its global partnership with Unilumin.

As the club’s official LED display partner since early 2021, Unilumin provided the ‘super-sized LED’ two-tier digital display system that was installed at the Etihad Stadium in May 2021, and has seen the club’s pitchside media space become the most commercially valuable in the Premier League.

Utilising the latest technologies in outdoor LED display capabilities, the new system has allowed greater design scope for messages from the club and its partners, provided high-quality picture quality and delivered twice the exposure of a traditional LED system. New technology in control systems with smart features implemented as part of the partnership has also enabled content to be adapted, depending on camera angle and weather conditions.

Scott Munn, City Football Group’s chief executive, China, said: “Unilumin Sports’ world-leading technology and expertise has allowed Manchester City to implement an exciting new platform and provide greater value and global impact for our partners and to engage with our fans around the world. The team at Unilumin has impressed us with its passion for new ways to innovate, a value we prioritise highly within our club and wider organisation.”

Tiger Lin, president of the Unilumin Group, said: “We will use Unilumin integrated Metasight solutions to bring the ultimate audio-visual experience to fans around the world.”
