SM Entertainment announced an exciting new project plan!

On December 10, the agency announced that it would launch an ambitious new project called "SMTOWN 2022: SMCU EXPRESS" later this month. "SMCU" stands for SM Cultural Universe. This project will allow fans to experience SM's unique meta-universe through a variety of futuristic content.

On January 1, SM Entertainment will hold an online concert called "SMTOWN LIVE 2022: SMCU EXPRESS @KWANGYA". The company's artists will gather in the fictional KWANGYA and perform at SMCU Express Station.

Just like last year, SM Entertainment will play this concert for free as a special gift to fans all over the world who are exhausted due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic. Audiences will be able to listen to concerts on various platforms, including YouTube, Beyond LIVE, LG's U+ IDOL LIVE, etc.

In addition, for the first time in 10 years, SM Entertainment will release a special agency winter album composed of many of its artists. "2021 Winter SMTOWN: SMCU EXPRESS" not only includes songs from various SM groups, but also includes unprecedented special collaborations between members of different groups.

"2021 Winter SMTOWN: SMCU EXPRESS" will be released on December 27, and pre-orders for the album will open on December 10.

Finally, starting from December 30th, SM Entertainment will launch a brand new "SMTOWN EXPERIENCE: PLAY @KWANGYA" media exhibition on the first floor of its building located in Seongshui District, Seoul.

The lineup of SMCU EXPRESS will include HOT’s Kanta, Boa, TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation-Oh! GG, SHINee, EXO, Red Velvet, NCT, aespa, etc.
