If you have ever worried about giving your iPhone to someone in case they see or do something they shouldn’t do, then you need to try this trick.

Apple’s guided access feature will allow you to temporarily disable the touch screen.

This is especially useful if you give your kids an iPhone or iPad so they can watch movies or YouTube videos.

Open the "Settings" app on your iPhone and click "Accessibility".

Scroll down until you see "Guided Access" and click on it.

Then, make sure the switch next to "Guided Access" is turned on so that it turns green.

When you are ready to hand your iPhone to someone, place it on the only app or screen you want them to see.

Then, click the right-hand lock button three times and click "Guided Access".

Then you can select the function you want to disable and need to click "touch".

You can also disable functions such as "Volume" and "Sports".

Finally, you enter the password.

To turn off guided access, click the lock button three times again and enter your password.

Apple explains: "Guided access keeps the iPhone in an app and allows you to control which features are available.

"To start guided access, double-click the side button in the application you want to use."
