After purchasing 2,000 Absen Lyra (LR) series panels, French rental and stage construction company Alabama has become the owner of Europe's largest stock of small-pitch transparent LEDs.

Absen and French rental stage company Alabama reached a new level of cooperation in their 8-year distribution partnership, agreeing to sell 2,000 Absen Lyra (LR) series transparent LED panels-a total area of more than 1,000 square meters, effectively making Alabama is the preferred company in Europe for this type of product.

This new inventory will be used with 800 square meters of Absen LED products already owned by Alabama, including Polaris 2.5mm indoor rental LEDs and Altair series AT5 Pro mobile indoor/outdoor products.

All in all, this means that Novelty Magnum Dushow Group, the parent company of Alabama, now has more than 5,000 square meters of LEDs available for rent.

"Transparent LED has been around for many years, but due to a variety of logistics reasons, it is not always the most practical product type," said Christian Czimny, Absen's Industry Product Director. "With Lyra, we have created a product with outstanding clarity and unlimited creative possibilities, all in a package that can be manipulated by a technician."

The IP65-rated Absen Lyra has a horizontal pixel pitch of 3.9 mm (7.8 mm vertical), suitable for indoor and outdoor use. The size of each panel is 1000 mm x 500 mm. Existing Absen customers will also benefit from the same stacking system on the Absen rental stage series, including the award-winning Polaris. Absen Lyra weighs only 12 kg per square meter, which is three times lighter than traditional LED panels with similar resolution.

Despite the 50% transparency, the black PCB board of the Lyra series can still produce a sharp contrast-4,000 nits outdoor-making it as useful as traditional LEDs in terms of performance, and a refresh rate> 3840Hz, which makes Lyra equally suitable for broadcasting and Live-streaming performances and events. The Lyra panel can be tilted from -15° to +15° to create a curved display.

Maintenance is also extremely simple and fast. The Lyra LED panel itself can be replaced from the back in less than 10 seconds without turning off the entire screen.

The new Lyra series was designed by Absen and Alabama. "Abison has been listening to the market," Zimney said. "We believe this is the only way to create the best products. Strategic partners like Alabama are an important source of information and collaboration in this process."

Alabama has also worked closely with Absen’s engineering team to develop an extremely lightweight and strong plastic flight case for this product, which can be stacked in three stacks to save trucks, warehouses, and yard space; at the same time, it saves customers money.

Joël May, the technical director of Alabama, said: "The production staff are very excited about this new inventory because of its high transparency, resolution and weight." "In addition to logistical and performance advantages. , It also provides many creative opportunities, such as the ability to mix reality with images.

"It will inevitably take some time for set designers to fully realize the potential of this transparent LED product, but once they do, the possibilities will be very exciting; so exciting, in fact, we already have up to 90 % Of new transparent LED inventory, which will be put on the market before the summer of 2022."
